Have you read Ms. Morrows' Order of the MoonStone series? If not, check out the reviews for Book 1, Book 2, and Book 3.
Blessings to you!
This book is written in Ms. Morrows' signature style. There's action, romance, and intrigue. More than that, this book has twist after twist and shock after shock. Seriously, I'm still reeling even though I read an ARC copy of the book. I still can't wrap my mind around the developments. I won't go into detail, but I will tell you this. The developments make sense and add such an interesting level to the book that I can't wait to read the next one.
Kayden explores her relationship with God more in this novel and that is one of my favorite parts. It's always great watching a character grow and learn in knowledge of the Almighty. Of course, dodging danger while doing so just makes it that much more entertaining.
I'm fully invested in Kayden's story. She's become more than a character on the page. I feel like I know her and I want the best for her. Plus, I need to know how her story ends. So, I'll be biding my time waiting for the next installment in the series. If you haven't read any of them, do so. If you haven't read book four, what are you waiting for?
*I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. This review is my honest opinion.
There was so much about this series that surprised me from start to finish. The story is nothing like my normal subject. . . The plot took many twists and turns that I never saw coming. . . The characters did a lot of things I didn't particularly like. . .
But, when I was finished, I'd have to say the most surprising thing was how quickly the writing moved. I wrote the first drafts for the five main books in less than two months. I feel like this story was directly inspired by God. The idea just took hold of me - and my fingers had trouble keeping up with the words pouring through them.
2. If you could write a story for any secondary character, who would it be and why?
I have actually had several readers ask me if I could/would be writing more story for Catarine. If I were going to, she would be my first choice. We'll just have to see where the inspiration leads.
Yes! I love Catarine. :)
3. Did you plot out the Order of the Moonstone series or do you fly by the seat of your pants?
I actually do both. I follow the story wherever it decides to take me, but I plot heavily as I write. I will say that with Order of the MoonStone, I did less plotting while writing the first drafts due to the speed I was writing. However, I plotted quite a bit as I went back over the books, re-writing.
Very interesting approach!
4. What are you currently reading?
Sentinel by Jamie Foley - and a wonderful short story by a dear friend (not sure I'm supposed to tell anyone I have it, so I won't name her).
I haven't read Sentinel. I'll have to check that out.
5. Do you have any advice for aspiring writers?
NEVER give up! NEVER let anyone stop you. If you are meant to be a writer, you must write!
Awesome advice! Thanks for stopping by, JC!
