I know it's been a while since I've shared My Thoughts, but never fear! I've got a good one today.
Enjoy and Blessings to you!
-John 14:27 KJV
But let me tell you about my morning. I got a phone call from the billing department of the surgeon who removed my youngest son's spleen this summer. It wasn't a surprise. I've know about this bill. Tried to make payment arrangements (which they promptly laughed off as unacceptable). Only this time they wanted to inform me they were sending it to collections.
My stomach clenched. My head pounded.
I went from stress free to filled with angst in less than 60 seconds. I scoured through my budget. Looked at job applications. Then a light bulb clicked. I've been in this situation before. My husband has had 2 unemployment seasons, the longest one lasting 2 years and ended in March of this year. This year!!
Why was I panicking? Hadn't God shown me time and time again that He was Jehovah Jireh? I felt foolish and I surrendered the worry. I prayed to God and apologized for my doubt. I thanked Him for His provision and I let that worry go and shook off the phone call.
That peace came. The sweet one that surpasses all understanding. And with it came a blessing in the form of a check. A relative had recently been blessed and in turn blessed me.
Y'all, God provides. It may not come when we want (this bill has been sitting on my night stand for MONTHS! It may not look like we expect. But God. Will. Provide. So have peace. Let it fill your senses and let joy reign.
